Use the Office That Holds the Record
King and Queen County uses a regional jail system, so the appropriate contact depends on whether the question concerns current MPRSC custody, a Sheriff arrest record, or a court case. An arrest, booking, or roster entry is an allegation or custody fact, not a conviction.
Current custody and MPRSC booking material
For a person currently held at the regional jail, begin with the official MPRSC Current Inmate Listing. It covers all member jurisdictions, so confirm the charging or arrest agency in the detail record. MPRSC’s physical and mailing address is 170 Oakes Landing Road, Saluda, VA 23149; the main number is (804) 758-2338. Published lobby hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding observed state and federal holidays.

MPRSC accepts requests by mail, fax, email, in person, or phone. Its published rule provides a response within five working days, with a possible seven additional working days when practical impossibility is stated. Charges are actual costs, not a fixed photo fee; an estimate may be requested, and a deposit may be required when the estimate exceeds $200.

The King & Queen County Sheriff’s Office is located at 242 Allen’s Circle, Suite A, P.O. Box 38, King & Queen C.H., VA 23085. Main office numbers are (804) 785-7400 and (804) 769-3250; published office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For emergencies, call 911.
No separately labeled Sheriff records unit, booking-photo request form, or fixed record fee was found in the published Sheriff materials. For a Sheriff-held arrest or incident record, the county’s Sheriff FOIA page lists Sheriff W. R. Balderson, P.O. Box 38, King and Queen Court House, VA 23085, (804) 785-5486, and vdraine@kqso.net. Jail-held booking material should go to MPRSC rather than the Sheriff.
Court disposition and local clerks
For the outcome after a charge is filed, use the Virginia Judiciary online services and then the correct local clerk when needed. King and Queen General District Court Clerk Jill Hall is at 242 Allens Circle, P.O. Box 86, King and Queen, VA 23085, (804) 785-5982. Circuit Court Clerk Hattie M. Robinson is at 234 Allen’s Circle, P.O. Box 67, King and Queen Court House, VA 23085-0067, (804) 785-5984. Both published court pages list office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A court result, not a booking entry, is the proper record for a case disposition.
